As a loyal follower, client and friend, I owe it to you to tell our story about how we made this incredibly difficult decision.

For now, this is the end of the Gal Meets Glam collection. The collection is and always will be something that I am proud of. It has provided me with knowledge of an industry I love, insight into a client I advocate for, and the ability to connect with individuals and professionals who reflect my love and appreciation for an aesthetically shaped lifestyle.

Our decision to end the collection is deliberate and stems from the long-standing disagreement between the way we wanted to build gal Meets Glam and the way our business partner considered it necessary.

Initially, our dream for the Gal Meets Glam collection was to make 8 to 10 Dresses per Season. I was excited by the promise of the opportunity, I felt prepared and I wanted a brand that felt like a definition of myself and a voice not found in the craft of the market. I was looking forward to defining this voice and representing it personally. I felt pride and enthusiasm for what we wanted to build.

When we signed with our business partner, we were very excited about the opportunities they offered us. Among them was an existing wholesale model, which we naively considered an advantage in the difficult-to-navigate world of fashion brands.

In the months leading up to the launch, we reduced the time, worked many hours and were so kindly greeted with enthusiasm for the brand on launch day that the collection will be launched afterwards. It was one of the best days of my life.

Quickly, our efforts to create a small, well-thought-out collection focused on scaling the brand to meet the needs of the wholesaler. We started to face the pressure of designing 30 to 40 Dresses per month to meet our partner’s demand.

To be honest and honest, we have actively questioned this process, but in our inexperience we have constantly silenced this concern due to the trust we have placed in our environment, which has been in the industry for a long time. I will never forget this life lesson.

Over time, this problem worsened and continued to stress me as a Designer and creator of the brand. It became very difficult for me to support 30-40 new styles when the dresses designed with love and care were shown thirty days earlier.

While the control of the design technically remained in my hands, I slowly began to feel that the brand was escaping me. My desires for new prints, patterns or silhouettes have been questioned many times and finally adapted to the needs of wholesalers. What the brand represented was constantly debated.

Over time, my creativity began to decline. It was demotivating for me to put my heart and creative energy into building collections that have never been recognized. It was frustrating to act for changes that would never come.

If you are told exactly what is “necessary” for a particular market or if you are asked to constantly repeat the same styles, you are out of the wind. I felt like my brand had become someone else’s business to do what they wanted.

The really difficult questions quickly followed: am I Gal dating glamorous? Or does Gal always meet what we are told we are in the market for? Should I push to make products that I love and believe in? Do I give in to the requests and requests made to us? These are the most difficult questions when you have employees who love you and care about them. These are the questions that kept me up at night.

These differences in the direction of design, business operations and brand values eventually became such important points of contention that we finally decided to part ways with our business partner.

During this experience, the feeling of failure was the most difficult. Am I deciding to give up too soon? Should I continue? Isn’t that what everyone aspires to in their career? But in the end, I knew it was the best decision for the brand, for my family and for me as a human being.

We hope that in the future, perhaps in one form or another, the Gal Meets Glam collection will be able to continue without me, always serving a purpose and bringing joy into people’s lives. With the current state of our world, it is now in the air.

I would like to warmly thank all our great customers and the community for the love and support they have given us since our launch. It was beyond our wildest dreams. Seeing the stories, the Tags, the friendships, the beautiful images, the heartfelt messages, the weddings and the special moments, big and small, from clients all over the world has been the most rewarding part of it all. You have really changed our lives and I am extremely grateful to you for that.

Impatient. I want to keep creating. In my heart, I am a creator. Aesthetics is my Inspiration. They invigorate me and fill me up. I never want to question my goal again. I want to be true to it, focus on it and share it with you in a way that makes us proud to be a part of it.

It is time for me to evolve, adapt, modify and lay the foundations for a future even brighter than our past. Our Blog, juliaberolz.wpengine.com , will change its name to our site after this summer, with a renewed and renewed brand image.

Together with Julia Berolzheimer, we are developing a new platform that will allow me to create from the heart and bring content and products that will hopefully inspire you more than ever. Add to that consistent and exciting product collaborations with some of our most popular and beloved companies.

The transition to our new Julia Berolzheimer brand has allowed me to continue with who I am now, to share refreshing interests, tastes and passions that I hope will celebrate with me in the months and years to come.
